Mary to Eve

Dec 08, 2012

It’s safe to say that my first speaking engagement was a success. It almost didn’t happen: Wednesday night I came down with an absolutely exuberant case of food poisoning, which laid me on my back all of Thursday, and me with an 8am flight to catch the following morning. The devil didn’t want me to go and made me eat that bad cheese, is what probably happened. But it cleared up just in time, thanks to prayers.

I am relaxing today at the rectory, following Mass for the Immaculate Conception, lunch with my host, and an unexpected but sorely needed nap. Speaking is tiring work! I managed to record both talks, about an hour apiece, and will be posting the mp3s as soon as I scrub them a little bit. Sound quality’s pretty good, considering I just used my phone and no mic.

Thanks for the prayers and encouragement!

As long as I am posting, here, in honor of my beautiful Mama, whose day it is, is a little piece posted by The Evangelista.

Glad you enjoyed the Immaculate Conception post! Looking forward to hearing the talks.

  • Having spent today eating convenience store food and fast food, I remember why I no longer eat like this. Ugh.
  • Not to mention Babylon
  • Also, #VampireWeekend mentions on this album: Zion, Jerusalem, the Dome of the Rock, and (implicitly) the Tetragrammaton. Wha?
