Radio Interview #2 [updated again]

Oh boy! Tomorrow morning (Tuesday, Dec. 6) I will be on the air in Fargo, North Dakota. Never been there, but I did see the movie, which was grim & bleak, just how I like ’em. I’m sure the same can not be said of the show.

I’ll be speaking with Roxane Salonen of Real Presence Radio, along with Fr. Jim Livingston, lead chaplain for Courage in the Twin Cities area.

The program starts at 10am EST, and my segment begins at 10:30. You can listen live by going here, and it looks like — though I’m not certain — the show will be available as a podcast after the fact, on the same site.

Pray for me!

** Update **

Roxane provides some further information in the combox below re: a second chance to catch the show and its availability as a podcast.

  1. Steve, I just popped over here as I was preparing for tomorrow’s show to see what you’re up to. Glad to see you’ve announced our chat. The show also airs a second time on Saturday for those who not able to catch it the first time, four hours after the first airing. So, that would mean 12:30 for our segment. That way you can listen in too to see if we made any sense at all. 🙂 Also, it does appear as a podcast a couple days to a week after the airing on the left bottom side of the home page. Talk soon! And by the way, if your readers would like to add an extra prayer for me, that would be super.

One prayer on its way as requested, Roxane. Can you be so kind as to throw at least one softball question to Steve tomorrow? Poor thing got nothing but tough ones from Patrick Coffin last month.

(We’re lookin’ out for ya, buddy.) 🙂

    1. Poor thing, my eye. Hit me with your best shot, Roxane.

  3. Haha. Will try my very best, Chris. We’ll have a priest on from Courage as well who will also help sort through the issue of faith and SSA. And only a half-hour, unfortunately. Not nearly enough time but we’ll do what we can do! So appreciate the prayers!

  4. Tim says:

I’m so disappointed, I’m behind in my RSS feed, and didn’t see you were going to be in Fargo until too late.

I’ve been reading your blog for awhile now, and am continually impressed by your attitude and honesty. Keep up the good work, and if you find yourself in Fargo, again, look me up.

    1. Oh, I wasn’t actually there! Just on the radio. I’ll post a link to the podcast when it’s up.

  5. Steve, you’re welcome here anytime. I think you’d like it actually. But…maybe come in the summer or fall. It’s not bad now but a little chilly. 🙂

  6. Pat says:

Podcast links don’t seem to work. Hope they are fixed in time for folks to listen to the show. I want to share your story with others!

Steve, you are doing and incredibly valuable service for the Church! There are a growing number of inspiring published testimonies from men who were in the homosexual lifestyle and have come out of it, finding peace and freedom in the heart of the Catholic Church and in chastity.

But because of a legitimate desire to keep their same-sex attractions private, very few who haven’t gotten into the lifestyle, are willing to go public with their stories of how they have dealt with those same-sex attractions. But voices like yours are needed as an example to the many others who quietly share your struggle.

Thank you and God bless you richly for your generous gift of self!

  7. Hi there. I’m listening to the podcast right now. You might want to try again. Right now it’s #42 in the line-up, though those change over time. But it should be set for a while. I hope it works for the rest of you; thanks for your interest.

  8. Pat says:

Is the show still anywhere for listening? Although I can see the podcast lineup now, there is nothing there for December 6, 2011 🙁

  9. Roxane Salonen says:

Pat, the numbers change over time. Currently the interview is #50 in the line-up. Hope you can find it okay. We have another one coming up on Tuesday, the 17th, at 9:30 AM CST.
